This is awesome for us. We’ll have a much better idea if he’s our guy at 3 or not. Who knows, maybe he even plays his way into number 2 and we get Fantilli after all.

I know people are still reeling, but this seriously a huge deal. As the OP mentions, Sweden rarely picks young players for Worlds. For him to make the team is a huge deal and shows there’s a lot of talent there.

I honestly feel like Carlsson, Smith, and Danielson all have 1C potential and ability. I’m fine with any of the three. Hell, Yager probably has just as good a chance as those three as well – he would have been a top 10 pick last year. Let’s just see how the process shakes out.
