I been a sharks fan for almost 20 years, they never draft good players just rarely, and having a 4th pick wont change anything lol

So NHL is putting up a lottery to see who will win in the future. What kind of sports is that?

Chicago just proved that tanking still works.
The NHL could consider the worst 1-3 teams not making the Draft lottery in a fashion where #1 is a possibility. For example, you finish last, meaning that you can't pick higher than #2. A penalty for being terrible. That would also slightly lower the amount of rental players at trade deadline, which is something that I would happily accept.
Heres a fun stat: NHL Draft Lottery wins by time zone and division
Eastern time zone: 21 (14 different teams)
Central time zone: 3 (Chicago twice and St. Louis)
Mountain time zone: 5 (Edmonton 4 times and Colorado)
Pacific time zone: 0 🙁
By division
Atlantic: 10
Metro: 9
Central: 3
Pacific: 4 (all Edmonton)
Didn't know where to put the two times Atlanta won it
Okay. But where's the actual lottery? None of the 4-16 pick changed places?? The only change was Chicago jumping from 3rd to 1st. Makes no sense. Besides Oilers getting four number 1 picks in six years. This years draft smells the most bs in years.

Not even a Blue Jackets fan but that last regular season win must be haunting them for decades to come. All they had to do was take the loss. Now, instead of a generational, franchise altering talent they get a solid A-lister who may or may not turn into a 60-80 points per season player.
NHL is RIGGED! Chicago gets rewarded for a culture of sexual misconduct…..so sad to see.
