I'm a fan of your arch rivals 300 klicks up the highway. Glad for your team Darryl is gone. It looked for awhile he was going to survive all the firings. The NHL is moving on from flippant, crusty, old school dinosaurs with break em down before you build em up philosophies. Good luck next season: but not against us! lol

Darry Sutter's shelf life as an NHL coach rarely goes beyond three years.

Goaltending needs to be addressed.
Calgary has a lot of younger talent that should be brought up.

Are a few names that Calgary should consider getting rid of. Yes, yes.. Jonathan has a long contract. But, his ego & attitude are Bigger!! Markstrom can play way better than this. But, he is 'Not' bothering too. Maybe, he wants out or is picked on in the Showers.
P.S. again, Calgary should bring up some of the younger talent & let them Break out. 👍

When Gaudreau and Tkachuk bolted it really seemed there was something lurking beneath the surface with the Flames…..whether it was Treliving or Sutter or both……the latest Flames news re: Treliving and Sutter is no surprise.
You watch….. they'll build the team around Huberdeau, Kadri, Weeger, Mangiapane, Markstrom, etc…..that's what they need to do to right the ship.
WOWsa!!! Well, I can't say I'm surprised by the this news–it was only a matter of time before Coach Sutter was fired , after a very disappointing season–this signals a whole new direction for the Flames
He wont be able to get another coaching job now and wyat fromt office woukd want to hire him for any kind of front office job. Back to the farm Sutter
Ottawa needs to get him to replace DJ.
This move was necessary to bring in a new regime and hearing about the potential exodus of players. Mitch Love my choice for the next coach who's currently with the Calgary Wranglers AHL team.
It's sad. Today's young crop of NHLers can't handle the old guard of coaches. Only Torts, Bowness and Ruff are left. Sutter will never get hired again, just like Crawford and Vigneault and others. The young guys now never played under a stern surly taskmaster so they think it's oppressive to their spirit. They want a softer rink atmosphere with less yelling and more iPad time.
The man behind the bench is just a small part of a team’s success, ultimately it’s the players who win or lose the games….not the coach, he’s just the scapegoat when the team doesn’t perform. Calgary has been one of the most inconsistent teams in the league for a long time, you could put Wayne Gretzky behind the bench but that’s not going to make the Flames a winning team.

Now with Sutter gone the Flames need to name a Captain.
Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy….after that press conference where he totally dumped all over that rookie(can't think of his name at the moment) where he made out he had no idea who the reporter was talking about…what an ass…no room for dinosaurs like him in this game…
