JT ended one drought on the island in OT after 23 years and ends another one in OT after 19 years. That equals 42 which is the same amount of chapters in the book of job. OT = Old Testament.
And it took this era the 7th year to finally win a series.

Remember this going forward. Game ones and sevens are total coin flips and very unpredictable games. Leafs got blown sky high and ended up winning the series.
I have always loved hockey and although I grew up on the south side of Lake Ontario, I became hooked on these Leafs when I went up across the border to Toronto for some R&R while they were in a deep playoffs run. The passion of the fans and the kindness they showed me, even though I was from Due South, blew my mind and won me as a fan. Grabbed a special edition Leafs jersey and that was that. It has been draining to suffer all of the pressure alongside Leafs Nation but I have always believed this team would battle through the nerves of the recent past and make it, and they did. Tampa Bay is a great team and an excellent teacher of how to earn success for a Stanley Cup run. They made our team earn every bit of this and this could really grow the team into something special from here on out. I am just a fan like anyone so I will celebrate this win because I remember when I had no win to celebrate. This is both a relief and also feels tremendous against such a great team. From tomorrow, it will be time to refocus and get ready to support this team as it battles towards the goal of bringing the Stanley Cup Championship back to the city of Toronto and fans in Canada, who are well deserving after such a long time. Go Leafs Go!

Hockey market this size this shouldn't be such a big deal no offence. 19 years to win a single first round playoff game is insane.
Incredible! So glad they finally threw that monkey to the curb! Sky’s the limit IMO. Now that the stress of that first round narrative has been ended I feel that they can focus 100 on hockey, cause no matter what you know that it played on their mind. Their celebration showed us just how much this meant. Now go get ‘em boys!
After all the times they gave it all and it just wasn't happening for them, super happy and proud of the Leafs this year.
