  1. Good point about not being afraid to go against the general consensus and draft players that you fall in love with even if it is seen as a reach at the time. I really love Pavel Dorofeyev and hope my red wings can pick him up in the second round.

  2. A bold list. I would be extremely disappointed if Cam York was the Habs' choice at 15th. If Timmins wants York, they can trade down to get him. In my opinion, Broberg retains his rank. He has undeniable qualities; fast and powerful skating, offensively daring and his weaknesses in defensive zone are correctable. I am a fan of Matthew Robertson, unlike Broberg he seems to have the basic defensive qualities and potential to develop his offensive game. Very good appreciation of Jakob Pelletier, the little Zach Parise. I think you're too harsh on Lavoie, in the 2nd round it would be a robbery. Good draft list that makes you think.👍

  3. Thank you for actually forming your own opinions and showing highlights!

  4. Love Kaapo and Hughes. Also like Turcotte more than you do. Love Zegras, Cole, Newhook. Not as high as usual on the Swedish D's. My Rangers have 2 and 20 and 5 total picks in the top 70. Hoping they can move up from 20 or acquire another pick between 2 and 20, and get another great player from this top heavy draft.

  5. What is your opinion on Alexander Campbell? Same line as Newhook so benefitted from his play but is also a catalyst himself. Great skater with slick hands, just a little undersized imo.

  6. 1          Kakko
    2          Hughes
    3          Byram
    4          Cozens
    5          Zegras
    6          Caufied
    7          Turcotte
    8          Dach
    9          Seider
    10        Kaliyev
    11        Newhook
    12        Boldy
    13        Poulin
    14        Tomasino
    15        Krebs
    16        Broberg
    17        Podkolzin
    18        Hoglander
    19        M. Robertson
    20        Suzuki
    21        Harley
    22        N. Robertson
    23        Thomson
    24        Jones
    25        York
    26        Pelletier
    27        Legare
    28        Soderstrom
    29        Kolyachonok
    30        Warren
    31        Misyul

  7. If Kolyachonok is available when Winnipeg is up, watch then take it. They had three guys scouting him at one of Flints game. A buddy of mine has played against both Hughes and Kakko. He said that Kakko is the better player, but Hughes is such an amazing skater. Also, when Patty Kane is saying that he has better skills than you, I think that goes to show how much potential Hughes has. So NYJ is either going to go with the higher ceiling in Hughes or the more NHL ready Kakko. Can’t wait for this weekend to come!

  9. Great list. I’m not as high on Kaliyev or Cozens as most people. Love a guy I didn’t see in your top 31, Ville Heinola. I have him ranked 9th. I also have Hoglander at 5 and Newhook 6 though so I might be crazy 🥴

  10. Your mock draft tells me that some of your "long shots" for the first round may slip into the 1st tier of the 2nd. I wish Bergevin moves up in the 2nd. Benning GM of the Canucks is open to trade back. Juulsen would be a "nice project" for a team rebuilding. I like Juulsen but behind Weber and Petry for a few years he may not have the ice time to evolve. As I suggested before, a double swap would be interesting with the Canucks. 10th and 40th picks would be superb. Just brainstorming… what do you think?

  11. If Caufield is gone by eight than I would like to see Holland take the big German right shot defender Moritz Sieder

  12. Do you believe Lassi Thomson can be a bigger surprise and ride up even more? Or at that rank, if the Habs go slightly down, despite that Thomson doesn't meet their immediate needs, they may pick him and in 2 or 3 years he could be a powerfull D. He reminds me of Sheldon Souray …

  15. The penguins only had two picks in the first three rounds of this draft, but both Samuel Poulin and Nathan Legare made your list. Hopefully both players will be in Pittsburgh down the line, and have great careers with the pens.

  16. Boy did Kirby Dach prove a lot of people wrong. Once he improves his faceoffs, this kid will be a top line elite center. Excellent scouting and development Blackhawks
