Tocchet's intensity tactics better work next season. This season it worked to get the Canucks from 5th in lottery chances to 11th. He'll look like like a genius if we do win with 3%
I haven’t seen a Canucks management group this screwed up and confused since the late 90s. They’re all over the place. I can’t believe out of all the guys who had bad seasons, they pick out Brock Boeser. I think we know why his off-season wasn’t great. But these guys haven’t exhibited much class or respect since they got here. Tough love is fine, as long as it’s toward the right people. Miller has been better since Tocchet came in, but that’s a low bar and out of all the underachievers, he got the least criticism. In any decently run organization, an NHL player screaming at an AHL goalie instead of playing would be severely punished. But no. Let’s blame Kuzmenko, a 39 goal first year player and a guy who lost his father to a horrible illness. Not the guy who is about to make $8 million per. What a joke.

This whole ownership management group is dumb. A generational talent comes along, we are so far outta a playoff spot that we decide to hit a mediocre 20-14, by hiring a coach that doesn't have a winning record to basically ensure we don't get to draft a local kid that has silky hands and fast feet. I'm pretty sure petterson is not gonna re sign. And when hughes contract is up, he's gonna go play with his brothers. This team has no path, ownership needs to butt out. A rebuild should have happened when linden was president. Earlier even. But instead let's pay three coaches two gm's instead. Miller should have been a pen already. God. Where is this team headed. I love the Canucks. But for F's sake. Let's do something with a goal in mind.
