    As an Oilers fan, I feel for the Canucks and its organization. The management and ownership are a complete mess. They don't even know how to properly handle the firing of Bruce Beadroue weeks before it happened. If the management saw the team trending in the wrong direction, either they should've fired Bruce earlier, or finish the season in the lottery standings and fire him then. Oddly enough, they seem like they had a specific schedule in mind of firing Bruce. Again, Bruce had no intentions of being fired. The ownership and management are the PROBLEM. Stupid, stupid, stupid!

    Fire that has-been Rutherford and the moron beside him. As for Rick, the fans should let him know it's time to leave – first game. Classless, incompetence.

    Rick Tocchet is a horrible coach. None of his teams were any good, bad hire by Canucks management. I don’t understand why they fired Bruce Boudreau who was a proven NHL head coach. Canucks roster can score but they have very bad defence and goaltending. Can Rick Tocchet improve the defence? I don’t think so. Will the Canucks win 30 games now and ruin there opportunity to get Connor Bedard? I don’t think so. Canucks are now a classless organization with a lot of high priced coaches still on the payroll and it’s sad. The worst decade in Canucks organization history and it won’t get any better with Rick Tocchet.

    Been a Canucks fan for a long time, and I have never felt more embarassed than seeing how this organization's management has treated it's people and players, such as Bruce and Bo.

    JRs, that was the press speculating…it wasn't us. It sounds similar to something else I heard recently, "I never said they were racist! Did Meghan ever say that! It was the British press that said that."

    I've been a Canucks fan for 30 years and have seen so many class acts in the Sedins, Linden, Boudreau etc… not to mention all the charitable causes. This one irked me BIG TIME and I am done with the organization for a long long time. What a classless move by management. You can't be serious in bringing in a worse coach than Bruce who has won way way more in his career. The teams abysmal production is a result of management – they are the ones who put together a uncompetitive team. It is NOT Coach Boudreau. Now it will be – they added an unproven coach.

    Canucks fans and players were given the middle finger by this dumbfounded PR nightmare.

    I’m 1000% not surprised given JR helped us win two cups, but also nearly turned us into the rebuilding Blackhawks and Sharks by his idiotic reactionary decisions

    "he's not the smartest guy in the room, but neither am I" 40:45 just what a fanbase and locker room wants to hear the GM say about the new coach and himself

    Sounds like he just woke up that day and amazingly the media had time to come, Rick Tocchet was nearby and all contracts could be signed. All on that morning.
    Amazing.

    My New Year’s resolution is to quit on the Canucks. I’ve wasted so much of my time following this sinking ship. It ends when they treat one of my favourite coaches in the NHL like this.

    as of this moring? Its not Bruce causing the issues. Its the stupid management of the canucks not getting good players

    Bruce never had the chance with given the type of roster to work with. All eyes and ears are now locked in on Patrick and Jim….🤡🙃😮‍💨😒

    Such annoying questions. What did Bruce do exactly? Lost games. Lost the dressing room. Wtf is going on. Looks to me that they have him all season to convince them he was the guy. Move on. Great first game for the new coach tonight. Complete domination. Even thought it was the tankers.

    Allvin is just a yes man for Rutherford. He doesnt even have the presence of mind to look up when speaking to the public .

    Tocchet has a system in place and a few players will be traded because there's definitely some trouble in the dressing room….boeser will be gone first and then horvat

    First thing Tocchet mentions is how he likes the restaurants in Vancouver…🤣 Their body language is so weak and feeble. Why is Rutherford even there? Isn’t it the GM’s job to introduce the coach?! Makes the GM look like a puppet. Paying for 3 coaches at the same time is pathetic. The owner hasn’t shown his face in a while and must be hiding under a rock. The current mix of players have terrible chemistry and no new coach can fix this!
