It Only Gets Worse for the Philadelphia Flyers

2. Im sorry if it sounds i like hate on a player that wasn't re-signed by my favorite team, but im not.

   Any team with Christian Dvorak in their top5 forwards with the most ice time is a team in trouble, idc that he just did his best season in his career by a few kilometers in the very same team last season and that he's among the least bad forwards for the Flyers this season, he is not top6 material. Don't get me wrong he is amazing as a bottom 6 center, especially on the face-offs, but there's no way your team is going to be successful if he's your first line or even 2nd line center, he can score 50 points surrounded by Tipett, Zegras, Michkov, Konecny and company with first line minutes, but look around the league this is a terrible production for those best quality minutes for a 1st line forward, even worse as a center.

   He was 83rd in ice-time among all forwards on a 32 team league last season, this is barely less than DeBrincat, Bennett, Slafkovsky, Zucarrello, Lehkonen …. more than Matthew Tkachuck, Caufield, Point and Tavares. Keep in mind that he finished the season, 142nd on a points per game basis among forwards.

   I've seen him disappear too often in Montreal, he was given the exact same opportunities Philadelphia is giving him, played well parts of 1 season, then he proceded to flip flop between injuries and being a ghost the rest of his time with the Canadiens.

3. As a Flyers fan, I`m okay as long as they follow through tank for a few years then try to build this thing with elite talent.

5. I’m listening to Jesse describe Tocchet’s system, and as a Sabres fan it reminds me A LOT of the COVID Sabres from 2021. Ralph Kruger forced a defensive-minded, shot suppression system upon players amongst the likes of Jack Eichel, Sam Reinhart, Taylor Hall, Jeff Skinner, etc. They couldn’t execute the system, and in the end they consistently gave up scoring chances. The handcuffs were never removed by Kruger, and players saw some of the worst offensive production in their careers. It wasn’t until he was fired that the handcuffs came off. Not exactly the same situation in Philly, but it took firing the coach to steady the ship for offensive production.

7. Agree with all except the "meh" goaltending take. Outside the opener, the goalies have mostly been pretty good. As of 10/16, Woll is ninth in the NHL in Goals Saved Above Expected.

10. If only people watched Pacific division games. The Sharks have been winning games in spite of their coach since last season. Every time I see what people are outraged about, like this example or what happened with GM92 last night, I just think: Oh yeah just like Warso with the Sharks. The main difference is that the Flyers don't have Celebrini. But people don't watch those games and start saying Warso for the Jack Addams…

14. I was losing my mind last night the deployment is unjustifiable. The line blending doesn't make any sense. How could you put porter martone, matvei michkov, and trevor zegras on a team and play dump and chase. I'd rather see them get blown out and get shots on goal than watch another game of 1-5 shots per period
