Sadly, so many politicians like Ken Paxton and Gregg Abbot call themselves, “Christian,” while totally refusing to obey the teachings of Jesus Christ, and in this case, the one that says, ““Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.” 1 Timothy 6:17-18 The Dallas Stars are dope, a consistently great team of late, and if we can get more kids into ice hockey, which I hope we do, this can be a really good investment. Problem is, all too often we see the owners and executives of the companies who do things like this getting the Lions share of the profits, while the average worker only gets just enough to live on or slightly above that. I wonder, will we ever see a world led by people like me who truly believe God, where the executives and wealthy people of the world don’t make hundreds or thousands of times more than the average person who works just like they do? Certainly, I pray for that. Still, with all the corruption in Texas, a lot of good might still come from this project, and hopefully some of those poor kids in the school districts will have dads with construction jobs.
🤢🤢 Even the backers are like, 'who wants to help kids we don't know?'
Ask the public. Would you rather the city pay $700 million for some stadium OR give the 230,000 adults in that city $3,000 each. Guarantee, nobody wants that stupid fucking stadium.
