The Anaheim Ducks beat the Calgary Flames 4-2, but the win came with some major injury concerns. Jackson LaCombe got the Ducks on the board, Frank Vatrano got a lucky bounce for a goal, and Ryan Poehling scored Anaheim’s first short-handed goal of the season before leaving the game with an apparent leg injury. Ville Husso had a great game in net, giving the Ducks some much-needed confidence in their backup goaltending situation and hopefully allowing Lukas Dostal to get some rest. Between Cutter Gauthier leaving the game early, Poehling’s injury, AJ Greer’s healthy scratch, and some questionable lineup decisions, there’s a lot to unpack after this Ducks win. The Ducks get a few days off before facing the Flames again at home on Tuesday, so hopefully the injury updates are good news! #nhl #anaheimducks #hockey #icehockey #leocarlsson #CutterGauthier #calgaryflames

Vamos Patos! 🦆🍊
really hope poehls and cutter's knee injuries arent serious. they had a good game, along with husso
Nester hardest working kid in the ice. Time to dig deep early.
Sennecke needs to cool it. He’s playing dumb on offense and asking to get absolutely rocked. If that’s how he learns, so be it.
These games are unpredictable.
Anything can happen. "
Very extatic, we won" 4 and 1 loss. " Ryan Poeling, injury right after his goal took the lead celebration away " glad to hear Ryan is walking without a brace " that's positive sigh " Cutter being injured unknowingly is very strange shock to my nerves
Congrats on the win. Fortunately, the Ducks played against the worst team in the Pacific Division, oh wait, that’s my team the Kings. LOL
As always GKG
I'm thinking it's just a rest day for Greer. Missed most of the preseason with an injury, so he might not be in full regular season shape yet. Also, a little less concerned with LaCombe getting less ice time since Warren and Luneau have both been pretty good to start the season. Obviously need LaCombe healthy though. Don't know how long those too will be consistent defenders.
Relax, Pat Verbeek for GM of the year….
For the love of God, get rid of these ugly jerseys…ducks have one of the coolest logos and the ugliest color scheme in history of sports…how could they go from Purple/Teal to throw up Orange.
I hope Cutter and Poehling come back soon. Happy for Nesteranko and Vatrano, and a great game from Husso.
Me as a ducks fan I always see the ducks beat the flames
Cutter (upper body) and Poehls (lower body) are both reportedly day to day
