  1. I think it was Marco D’Amico who said that Fowler could be a good choice for the Capitals game – he’s played either with or against many of them in college I guess… I liked that order anyways (Dobes first, Fowler second).

On another note, have they disclosed anything about Florian’s injury??

  2. I like Sam. I think he was so sharp for a good long time. But no one wants Hellibuck, so there is no value, because you can't even gamble when their is no, demamd certainly not worth risking getting Sam back on track. Start the hottest goalie for as long as you can. They slip…rotate.

The REAL work has to be done in pace balance and unpredictable zone entries at different times. That is why guys like Sebastion Aho kills our entry and has a great pace control.

We gotta stop looking at our entire defence core to be Lane Hutson. Because you can't. Arber should adapt a Larry Robinson role. Big strong defensively responsible defenseman and/or use him like Buff. Rotate and use him as a big body every now and again as an F1 access when combined with a good defensive forward. Maybe once a game just to f#$k around with the other team.

I HATE dump and chase as the primary offensive strategy, but once a game mid shift, send Arber deep and make hard hits and fight deep in the zone, and wear down the defence.

Once in 2 or 3 games or not, go with a rush play.

Every 5 games, make him act as a net presence for a little bit. First guy to angle back 90% of the time, but 1 out of 10 do something more like a hard body forechecker to allow line changes.

Hutson can't grind that way. Arber can.

  3. Honestly, Sending Fowler back to Laval would negate all the good things Hughes and Gorton have done for the Habs. In other words.. it would be a stupid decision. It's far more beneficial to the Habs to give Fowler more NHL starts than to worry about what they can fetch for Montembeault. That point that Fowler gave the Habs last night might be critical if we are in a tight playoff race at season's end.

  4. The Habs better make a play on Whitecloud. Tanev went down yeatwrday so TO is li ked to Whitecloud. Hughes better mot lose another player as he did Knies and Marchenko. Trade Carrier and a 2nd round pick for him.

  5. Since you play both in a back to back the respect needs to Dobes for Buffalo. Plus Fowler has friends on the Caps. Respect. Dobes got us to the ecf. Respect.

  6. I think Dobes starts the next one. He is good but he’s not quite experienced enough to just say “let’s keep it rolling”. But they could start him. I really don’t know. Am I crazy to say Dobes gives us a better chance to win here? At the same time I don’t think Fowlers last game was a fluke. He was great and out dueled a goalie who was playing great. I want this. I want Fowler and Dobes both playing great. That makes us the most dynamic.
