Alex Ovechkin Announces His Final NHL Season

1. Maybe if this country wouldn't have ran his name through the mud a few weeks ago, we might have not been listening to that announcement.

2. One of the best of all time.

3. A beast….scores from anywhere and hits like e freight train.

4. To the Legend I can't wait to watch you play your final season in the NHL. Congratulations CHAMP.
From a Detroit Red wings fan I enjoyed watching you grace the ice so for all the goals pucks to the head and beers in the locker room. Wish you nothing but sunshine and Rose's. The sunset is nice. Chow!🎉

5. The end of an era. Feels like yesterday I watched him get drafted. Thanks for the memories, Ovi. Enjoy your last year. 🫡

6. Александр ты заканчивай , но 11 голов будь любезен забей в этом сезоне

7. If ovi somehow scores 40 this year or on the brink of 40. Mark my words, he'll come back and go for 1000 goals.

8. Bring Crosby & Malkin por a playoff run

9. Bro I’m actually teary

10. From a penguins fan, im going to miss seeing him and crosby playing on the same ice. I'll always have respect for ovechkin and the capitals.

11. Wilson is a unit

12. Really should have been the year before last.Definately after last year.He look awful and will look even worse this year. What was the point. The teams far from a contender.

13. Oh no Ovi is retiring?
    Anyway…

14. He was the only reason I watched

15. Greatest goalscorer of all time. Without him and 87 the league would be in a very dark place today. As a Habs fan, thanks for all the memories Ovi.

16. Санёк, мы тебя любим!!! Удачи и здоровья! Go Caps! Go!

17. Love the Great8! Tickets to see him on the Caps one trip to south Florida just went up. Don’t care, because I will be there regardless. Happy retirement Ovi, you’ve been an absolute pleasure to watch!

18. One of my favorite players ever, still remember him and Crosby starting, crazy how fast time flies

19. The standing O by the team

20. 😥

21. Sad, no 1thousandth goal celebration

22. RESPECT! 🫡

23. goood choice, young team cant be built of a guy staning still hitting rockets all the timeg

24. I cried when this man won the Stanley cup and I`m a Flyers fan so that shows you the impact he had on the entire NHL.

25. Much respect from a NYR fan. Admittedly I was wrong in insisting Gretzky’s goal record would never be broken. But I’m sticking with his point total will never be broken 😂

26. He’s going home to support the war effort like a good Soviet.

27. Ovi got that coach bod.

28. Hes going for 1000 goals! But end of an era for sure

29. Ovi looking like it costs 25 cents a day to feed him😂

30. Respect! thanks 4 everything Alex!!❤ 🖤💛🖤🐧

31. Too many ass pats

32. Величайший снайпер всех времен и народов!

33. I'm a penguins fan but I was lucky enough to grow up watching ovi and sids careers I'm pulling for both teams to make the playoffs. It's also a honor that as a pens fan we get to watch sid vs ovi in the caps home opener

34. War monger.

35. Congrats Ovi

36. Going to miss him a lot congrats Ovi it’s been so much fun watching you play for the capitals over the years

37. There’s nothing like a player who commits fully to a team that wins or loses and stays through it all. McDavid has made his point that he’s more interested in a winning team than a committed organization and that is heartbreaking as an Oiler to never know if he’s coming or going whereas Sid and Ovie has stuck it out and it’s admirable. You’re a legend Ovie!

38. Look at the barrel on him. A living legend!

39. Go and get 1000 this year

40. I’m really going to miss him

41. Я извиняюсь, такой пивной рюкзак.

42. Я устал,я ухожу)

43. The end of an era the best goal scored to ever do it🫡 we’ll never forget you great 8😢
