The reality is we need to fix our D, its an issue. Our G, top and bottom six are good! I am not willing to throw our first and farm for Nikishin, BUT I would for Edvisson. He would immediately make a big impact to our D and could easily fit on the first line with Raddysh. Raddysh is not playing well with Reilley… he needs Edvisson. If this is the case, we are legit stanely cup contenders.
Most likely outcome is DET and CAR swap their defenceman with one another

1st pick is going to be in the 25-30 so it is not valuable….and they don't have assets to trade for this defenseman. This is not going to happen
Apparently, the ask for Nikishin to LA is 2 1st round picks, so maybe the Leafs do have a chance.
They have Colorado’s 1st, but that would be a low 1st. And they have Tinus Luc Koblar who may be better then a 1st because a first doesn’t always pan out.
I’m not saying Koblar is a sure-thing, but he’s looking very good in his development.
Given that LA is not in the East, that might mean the price is higher for Toronto, so I wonder if Colorado’s 1st, Koblar, and another prospect could get it done, while not having to give up Danford.
Simon would be insane he's 6'6 would almost immediately lock up the defense for the next 10 years.
Also to be fair let's be real if Simon comes on the leafs danford becomes expendible
Stetcher would be the odd man out. Edvinsson-Raddysh, McCabe-Tanev, OEL-Rielly. Morgan can switch sides. He's been doing it his entire career, and if he doesn't like it, he can always ask for a trade.
…I will say this one last time. Until Reilly's contract is moved none of these thoughts matter. Getting Edvisson would be an amazing pickup and would look great beside Radish but Reilly's money needs to go out the door too. Also, any trade involving Cowen, Danford, & Koblar should be shut down immediately. You think you are having sellers remorse with Minten or Knies – losing any of these three would be worse. As much as I would hate to loose him I would trade Groulx before Koblar. But stop acting like this is anywhere near close to happening until Reilly is moved.
A Detroit channel was suggesting WIngs were angling for a team to give Edvinson an offersheet over 9m so they can get 2 firsts when they choose not to match.
I'm a huge Auston Matthews fan, always backed the guy. First two games of the season the guy only has 2 shots on net.
