it feels so wrong to see him wearing a columbus sweater
Awesome
What a shot!!
Gonna miss him so much! Best of luck 😢
Despite the team’s inevitable direction, these fans still know how to celebrate and welcome a player.
CBJ got a good player.
LETS GO KNIESY LEAFS NATION STILL LOVES YOU BABY
Of coruse he did 😂😂😂. Sucks he's gone from the Leafs, but I wish him well
Hate this trade so much.
Heard Steve Dangle talking about this trade… looks like Knies is gonna be fine. Hope he continues to do well with CBJ.
Good Luck Matthew👍
Oppps
CBJ 1 – TOR 0
Good riddance, he sux anyways
Knies has 2 goals and 1 assist in his first game as a Jacket and the game isn't even half over.
2 goals and an assist so far
1st of many
That forecheck in the loffs to get the puck to John Tavares to end the drought 😢
He’ll get a standing-o whenever he plays next in Toronto. Tough to see him leave the Leafs. We wish him all the best with the CBJs. Congrats on his first goal.👍
hes gonna pot 40, just you watch
Going to miss him as a leaf.
Thrilled for him. So deserving of a good start!
CONGRATS, Knies !!!!! Cheering you on from Ontario
Said it in every video, Leafs are going to regret trading Knies for Marchenko. Marchenko only scores on 6% of his shots (took 446 shots, 218 s.o.g) was worse in the league when it came to guys who took over 300 shots. Knies took half of that and only scored 4 goals less. Marchenko does not have a good shot or passes the puck well and he was playing with guys who were playmakers in Colombus. Marchenko now plays on a line where everyone wants to shoot. I wouldn't be surprised if Knies has a monster year and Marchenko floats around 20 goals. Congrats to Knies though and hope he does well. I still hate this trade
Awesome! We will miss him. It sucks trading a player that loved being a Leaf and being in Toronto.
Great job Knies. Maple Losers sent yet another talented player out the door.
Great job keep it up
Lol Maple Laughs.
Leafs fan here hoping Knies becomes the superstar he is destined to be. You've got a new CBJ fan.
Larkin -> columbus lets go
Brother I’m so happy for you. I wish you kill it and make the leafs look terrible. They need a reality check. I absolutely hate the culture we have here in Toronto. God bless you and wish you finish off with a hat trick if not 2 goals is amazing plus an assist so far.
O hes going to make leafs fans so sad this season, me being one of them haha
In that uniform, he looks a whole lot like Rick Nash. Same size, same build, maybe same production?
Looking forward to Knies scoring a hat trick when coming back to Scotiabank Arena.
I'll be rooting for him
Of course he does
Miss you Kniesy!
The Leafs should grab him
stud
Awesome Matthew great job.
Love to see it. That trade was embarrassing, nobody wanted Knies gone. I hope he has an absolute breakout season this year. So frustrating having management ruin player development for instant fixes that don't work. Another year watching Marchment, Hyman, Brown, Kapanen, Moore, Grundstrom, and now Knies, do well for other teams. Let's go Marlies.
Blue jackets, treat him well , cause we did and loved the guy
Steve is going to lose his sh*t… Robertson with 2, Knies with 1 in their first games..
