They are betting BIG TIME on internal growth and nothing else. Always scary to have a single point of failure.
They deserve the benefit of the doubt jeez. If it weren’t the Sabres and everyone is so used to them being bad they would be seen as a lock to make the playoffs. They are insanely deep, they have a top 15 player in the league, they had 109 points last year, all the young guys people are worried about have proven they are good nhl players this isn’t Kevin Adam’s throwing jj peterka and Jack Quinn in the top 6 when they never played in the nhl ever. We know doan ostlund and benson are good players lol. I’m sick of this pessimism
Extremely disappointed in the GM , counting on a bunch of young guys to carry the team is a recipe for a disaster. First of all this team is still extremely soft , the goalie situation is still unsettled and now you’re dealing with injuries. Will erase all the excitement from last year . Every team in the division has gotten better except the Sabres. Long season ahead. ( hope that I am wrong) last year was so much fun , it will be a shame if they are not competitive.
