When Will Hunter Brzustewicz Be BACK With The Calgary Flames?? | FN Barn Burner

Boomer, Pinder and Rhett react to Hunter Brzustewicz being sent to the Calgary Wranglers to start the season and try to figure out exactly what the Flames’ plan is for the young defenceman. After getting 34 NHL games last season, Brzustewicz now finds himself caught in a crowded Calgary blue line with seemingly no immediate path back to the NHL. The guys debate how long Hunter could realistically be in the AHL, what he needs to show to earn another opportunity and whether an injury or trade eventually opens the door. Is this simply a numbers game for now, or does Calgary eventually have to move somebody to create a legitimate opportunity for Brzustewicz?

  1. News FLASH!!! …. The Calgary Flames organization has .. NO INTEREST WHATSOEVER .. in wnning anything, much less a Stanley Cup! .. As long as the wealthiest Calgarians are funding their spoiled brat children at the games, there is no interest whatsoever in playing winning hockey. The seats are always full, so owners are happy. Flems will finish this new 2026/27 season uninjured, mid-pack, and out of the playoffs ………… as always!!

  2. Thank God the Wranglers pay better than minimum wage. Or these guys would literally starve to death. Either that or they'd have to get a second and third job, just to cover rent, let alone buy food or pay utilities.
