2. Congratulations to David for his well deserved captaincy. I believe that Boston fans support him and believe he will carry on the team’s culture of positivity. My personal sense of this is that David will follow what I call the “P words” to help the team grow and improve this year: Pride, Perseverance, Persistence, Punctuality, Passion, Progress.

24. It’s just unfortunate. The Bruins aren’t capable of bringing somebody to Boston who is actually worthy of team captain status. That’s probably because they’re paying a Siv goaltender three times the amount of money he deserves.

The only C that made sense….plus they named him C finally so he wont leave during the prime of his career to chase a cup, seeing as this roster and his centers have been lacking since Bergy and Krejci. This guy has come a long way on and off the ice and been through a lot…especially the past 3/4 seasons.

41. I met with Cam and Sweens. Is there any other team where the GM and President pick the captain? Why isn’t this a team/coach decision? This team is micro managed so much. Sweeney is an anchor on the neck of the franchise
