With Dickinson out for the time being it would be nice if the likes of Clattenburg, Howard, or Hutson can get a shot on his role for the time being until he’s healed up to return.
Imagine letting the players who played the best have more playing time. What a concept!

Him publicly rewarding/praising players who did well in practice and pointing out it directly led them to getting put on a higher line is an incredible way to make rewards clear and have high-paced practices.

I agree with Babs, the AHL-Team played 2 days ago in Vancouver in a way with less turn-overs and missed passes. Here is what I wish from Babcock for the top 3 particularly, McDavid, Draisaitl and Bouch. They should play 8 out of 10 times the safe pass, nothing cute, nothing no-look, too long, too 'intelligent', make the safe pass, tape to tape. We don't have to show panoramic 'best-of' moves on every play, including McDavid should give up his 'drives through 3-4 players' and make safer plays, then we will have less turn-overs!

I think he'll be what the Oilers need. ya he's had a past that put him in the bad books. But he's a cup coach, and Edmonton has so many top players but they lack consistency and Babs can fix it. As long as the players don't take what he says personally.
