May Mark, hope you get well soon, I also spent most of today sleeping off a flu, and one of my clients has also been sleeping off a flu for the past couple of weeks.
I think the smart move would be to put Chytil on the wing, and rotate him with Lekerimakki for a bit and see if he stays healthy, and see if Lek can click with Raty as the 3C. I think Raty's skill set currently would lend itself better as a 3C then a spare part or a top 6 C. Raty's shown an ability to pick up some clutch goals (most notable being that 57 seconds left goal that started the record breaking comeback a couple of seasons ago vs the Stars. He also is capable of winning draws, and that can be huge for getting organized breakouts from D-zone faceoffs. That also saves Pettey for the O-zone faceoffs and maybe puts him in a role where he can do more in the offensive zone if he's got Raty handling the other end. And if we're lucky, maybe Chytil, Raty and whoever else goes on that line can form some chemistry together like we had with Joshua, Garland and Bleuger that dream year that seems so long ago now. If not? we have Sasson, Cootes and moving Chytil back to centre all as options. Also, I like running a 3rd line with 2 centres as if one guy gets waved, we have another centre who can still take the critical D-zone draws with competence.
I like the idea of signing a desirable players with intentions of flipping for draft picks. Who would be good to sign?

Canucks have always been able to find some steals with the high middle draft picks. We still need 5-6 first rounders with at least 1-2 top 2 picks to make this rebuild a success. I’ve come to terms we will never I mean never get the 1st overall
