Come on , the sharks sent their AHL team , the ducks had the full roster almost . And seeing the game makes you verry worried about how these guys will handle real NHL players when they already struggle against AHL ones , the 6-2 score doesn't reflect the game at all. And yes Klepov looked good , but again , against much worse players it s easier to look good . I was already scared we could not reach the playoffs this year , well i m not scared anymore , i m quite conviced the season will go quite bad.
I was hoping the Sharks coaching would have some of their elite talent in the game. Maybe they are afraid their kids are fragile and don't want them to break before the season begins. Some of them should have been out there! Even though they were playing a soft version of the Sharks I liked what I saw overall and was very happy to see Luneau do well. The Ducks need an offensively dominant two way RD to play on the first line. Hopefully Luneau grows into that role much sooner than later. Sennecke is looking like he wants a nice pay raise soon. Expect him to prove his worth each game this season. Can't wait for the season to begin! GO DUCKS!
Ducks started a little slow, to be expected, but looked great after they got going. In context, Sharks dressed 4 players with enough NHL games to qualify them for the minimum required for a pre-season game (#3 goalie, 4th line center, 14th forward, second year D). Its preseason hockey… but that top line for the Ducks looks lethal. It's great to have hockey back and kick the Sharks/Ducks revelry back into gear.

I think the pairing of Luneau and LaCombe, would be real nice, I’m just not sold on Helleson, I also thought Solberg looked good, his positioning and physical presence came out. Loved all of our young D letting shots fly from the blue line!
