Great job guys but no on Neighbors
I'd love to have Nikishin… but… not at the expense of Jake Neighbors. And not at the expense of taking on a really bad, expensive contract (forget the player.. but has been reported Carolina wants) plus a 1st rounder PLUS we have to pay him… its too rich for my blood. I like the team we have in place. And hopefully Jiricek makes the team. But that's just me.
My goodness, you guys are killing me. Enough of this already. They (Carolina) are in a pickle, not us. I don't want to give up the assets they would require for this guy. I don't mind the 9+ Mil, that's ok, but what assets? Carbo? Nope, Jiri? Nope, Neighbors? Nope. I'm hoping we go ahead in JUST 3 DAYS with what we have and figure it out. Now, if Carolina is reasonable, that's a different story, but they are not in the drivers seat as much as we think.

Blues have a lot of RFA players to sign next year so should not pay 8mil+ for a player with only 1yr of NHL experience

Interested but how many of these young Blues players will be up at once for a new contract?? The highest I would go is 7.5 million for 8 years. What would you seriously have to give up? The asking Price will be too much. Willing to do draft picks but they will want an established player while their Cup window is still open.

Canes fan here. Nikishin is a really good player. He will be very successful. The Canes don't want to pay Nikishin more money than every other defensmen. He is a 3rd pairing. Canes are going for the cup again, now. We just signed Riley, so I think Tolsky is good starting camp with or without him. I am wondering if Nikishin's agent is trying to make some traction. I hope it works out soon.

To me he’s chasing money and that is a huge red flag, also if he was that good, they would make it work, again they want to go on a run, so clearly they don’t think he’s that important to the team.
