  1. In all honesty, I loved him at the beginning of the season but stopped producing towards the end of the season and in the playoffs.

Good locker room guy but if there was someone to get rid of, it was him and/or Vatrano

  2. I like the youth direction, even if forced. I see a lot of ups and downs and losing some games early on due to an inability to protect leads at the end w/ this much inexperience.

I actually like the neg press this summer to lower expectations bc the team may play more freely and simply let it fly. I still think they’ll have the most entertaining team in the league once they get going with who knows how many different story lines developing (good and bad) that will be intriguing. Thanks for the drop.

  3. Awful d got worse. Lose 2/3 of your second line in Mactavish and Kreider so no depth at forward. Vastly overpay multiple players so no cap space. Big salary cap increase incoming and every penny if it will go to Sennecke. Back to the draft lottery

  4. Important to note: Chris got 10 goals in 5 (4) months of hockey. He was brought in to be a powerplay specialist and solve our woes on the PP.

From December 1st he scored 2 powerplay goals. And had 7 assists on the PP. He didn't help the powerplay at all.

He scored 1 (empty net) goal in the month of December. And only 2 in march.

I'm not sure what the issue was, if being on the west coast really was that detrimental I'll never know, but we never got the most out of kreider. And it showed when we needed him the most. Particularly in the second round.

With that being said he did not have to agree to a contract termination and potentially leave 4 million on the table. He did the Ducks a solid and we should all be very grateful to him for that.

Rather than hate on him, if he releases a message to the fans, please wish him well in his future endeavors.

  5. Mark my words…should have let Cutter walk. I hope Leo is happy, I am no longer a fan of his. Thanks Pat Verbeek as well. Cutter is not our guy it’s just our turn. He’s for the streets!

  6. Not a popular opinion, but our defense looked old and slow, and I’m looking forward to seeing the youth of Luneau,Hinds and Solberg get their chances! I think we are underestimating them. Our defense last year stunk, I think it’ll be better with the kids!

  7. I think Vatrano is the one who needs to step up.

Beckett is going to have a great year. (Just a vibe) Leo/Cutter will put up their numbers. Klepov might be our “Beckett” from last season. I’m not too worried about making up that 50 points. I’m more worried about Dostal.

  8. Its 50 points not 50 goals with the improvements of those 3 Leo, Cutter, and Beckett and whoever steps into Krieders role can together contribute to that goal. All is not lost nor doom and gloom as you make it seem!
