The Bruins should not add any more over 30 year old players that won't make then anymore Cup competitive than they are today
That'll just likely lead them to being in the wild card hunt more firmly, they won't sell off, they won't add valuable assets, they'll lose in the 1st round again, then they'll get another low 1st round draft pick & then they'll repeat all of it a few more times until Don Sweeney gets fired
You add a 35 year old Kreider if your team is Cup competitive
The Bruins are not Cup competitive this year and Kreider won't change that.
Would Kreider make them Boston more "wild card" competitive? Sure.
Is losing in the 1st round again more important than shedding cap space, adding valuable assets, getting a quality 1st round draft pick, etc… NOPE!
Unless you're a dopey Bruins homer or Don Sweeney whose only goal is 1st round playoff loss every year
Hard Pass on Chris Kreider. He probably wants to go to a legit Cup threat this year, which again, Boston isn't, so this is all likely moot anyway

He can drive lines with young centers trying to make their way.
Yet, it wouldn't surprise if he went back to NYR
Don't think he's leaving the ducks soley because of the money, he's an East Coast guy, parked in Anaheim because he couldn't get traded within the Eastern conference without coming back to bite the Rangers in the butt.
He's from Boxford, Boston college If he wants to come home, he'll do a deal.
Where he was originally drafted New York might be his "home"
He's 35 now, CBA would be limited anyway,
don't shake up the future of this franchise for him.
But hell yeah, if he wants to come to Boston, Sturm wants him, then get that left wing scoring. Specially if bruins roster keeps 14 forwards,

That'll be tough the first six games with McAvoy out, but they can shift the roster.
If kreider wanted Boston on a decent deal. It makes you a better team in the short term. The bruins have a few years before there truly competitive again, so it wouldn’t be the worst move.
They have to sacrifice to get younger and build. Nobody over 30. Keep Lohreil and teach him more defense. He's only young and good offensively, good second pairing.
I can’t imagine he’d terminate his contract without a good idea of where he was going to go and for how much. I think he’ll sign with the Bruins . 3×5 million should get it done. He was making 6.5 with the ducks but was only owed 4 million left on the deal.
