Fellow Latvian moved to Toronto here! I've actually heard Rožkalns couple of times in my life, so this is quite epic, would've never made the connection!
Hopefully you loved Riga Nick and managed to catch the end of Latvian summer! Right now it's already more or less fall weather there and my friends and family are all wearing jackets while I'm still walking around in shorts, t-shirts and sunglasses!
The bronze victory was something nobody will forget! Everyone said we were celebrating like it was a gold medal, and looked way more happy getting the bronze than Germans getting the silver 😀
