Not sure if he actually wants back in, it seems like a thing that was just said ti show he has the attitude of “commitment”, and he’s still gonna have the “work ethic”. I Bet he has a around 5-10 less points then his best season then gets traded at the deadline.
His trade value starts decreasing if they start the season with him unless they just turn over 2C to him immediately. Lambert won’t do that. Gave Gaudreau more ice time as well as the appalling Stephenson. At this point it’s just a mess

Also I knew from day 1 that Dan Bylsma was a terrible choice, it was such a painful season w that ass hat. They need to bench Stephenson, it's lost $, no point it letting that destroy the team any more than it already has.

Totally disagree with your take about Vancouver. Vancouver actually has a path which is being committed to a full rebuild. Seattle is dead set on being mediocre forever by signing middle six forwards to ridiculous contracts and not building through the draft. And Van's prospect pool is already middle of the league after only one draft of the rebuild. IMO Seattle is going no where faster than Van.
He'll get to play in vancouver. Theyre focused to playing young guys and selling vets. Plus the media and fanbase will make him a bigger name in the hockey world. It makes sense he wants to play there. But I doubt canucks would pay the acquisition cost.
