  1. aahahahaahahahahaahahah bus services in Ottawa getting to the game 90 minutes before the game.
Pack a lunch, lads. It's gonna take hours to get there. On a good day. Until they break down …
    fekkin Ottawa transit

  2. Now with 6 teams signing exclusively with Amazon…why on earth would I purchase ESPN+ or Sportsnet+ to watch even fewer games. And I still cant figure out how I'm gonna watch all of the Dallas games, living in Vancouver. Shannon…help me out here! Do i have to purchase a VPN?

  3. 1:32 So I used to live in Ottawa and attended a game there via bus. There IS a bus currently that goes to the sens games. However it was always late meaning ud get to the game late. It also had only one pickup stop that was rather difficult to get to. What this bus is hoping to do is have multiple pick up stops from Gatineau to CTC and hopefully ease fans who dont have a car/dont drive get to games. However its unlikely esp early season as it always takes forever to get to the CTC due to their only being one turn off for it causing traffic jams on Game nights. Hopefully if Lebreton flats happens then that would actually really help traffic as fans would be able to use the LRT to get to lebreton flats as thats right on the current rail system.

  4. Remember a few years ago when New Jersey was the unanimous "best off-season" after getting Markstrom, then had an awful season? Winning the off-season means nothing if it doesn't translate on the ice.

  5. Wasn't Michkov "out of shape" after having been in the car accident in Dubai that might have been an extortion deal and rumored injuries? I am really excited to see if Tocchet is willing to play him on his strong side with better players than some of who he got matched with frequently. He had some rough linemates and still ended up 3rd on the Flyers in scoring.

I keep expecting to wake up with him in a 2/3 way trade where he ends up on a team more friendly to Russian players.

And if Ottawa is going to keep having such an old building, they should go back to being the Corel Centre. Because that was fun. 🙂

  6. Charter bus service to the game was common in my kid days. Both the Mets and Yankees used to do it in New York. Back then, it was $1.50 ticket each way to & from the stadium and a $1.50 General Admission ticket. Went to many games at Shea that way in the late 70s, and anyone who knows the Mets in the late 70's will remember attendance was so bad you could sneak down from the dollar fifty seats down to the "lower bowl", though they didn't call it that in those days. Hell, you didn't even have to sneak. Nobody said anything to you wherever you sat. They were relieved if anyone showed up.

  7. RTC–the Las Vegas bus system–has the 'Game Day Express' here. Bus service from various locations (hotel/casinos) throughout the valley. Buses depart 2 hours, 1 1/2 hours, and 1 hour before puck drop. $4 round trip ($2 if you are a person of a certain age–WHICH I AM). Buses depart 30 minutes after the end of the game. They do this for the Raider games as well…which I do NOT attend. This is the only way I go to games. Two dollars round trip, a very short walk, and I don't have to pay a ridiculous amount of money to park? Win!

  8. Many years ago, I had to fly from Van to Ott., and when looking out the plane window, I was aghast at just how far out of central Ottawa the Canadian Tire Fire Arena was.
