The NJ Devils will not be trading Nico Hishier in a deal for Quinn. If the writing is on the wall and Quinn wants out, Dougie Hamilton, Dawson Mercer, and a prospect + picks will be going back the other way.

Why would Jersey give the Wild any assets when they can wait 1 year & sign Quinn as a free agent? If he doesn't extend, Minnesota is going to get screwed. Anyone else trading for him already knows it is a 1 year deal
Extending for 3 years isn't in Quinn's best interest. It only benefits the Wild. He wants to play with his brothers
No one should be upset with Quinn, he has always said he wanted to play with his brothers. He’ll go to New Jersey after this season, that’s what the deal was and Nico isn’t going anywhere ❤

If Quinn resigns w Wilds it will be for 3 @ $19M however if he goes to Devils it will be 6yrs $20M Jack extending 3 and both align when Luke goes free Agent and then all 3 brothers are free agent at the same time. Hopefully in between they win a Stanley Cup. For the Hughes its about brother legacy with the Stanley Cup name for all 3 brothers that is the end game for the Hughes.
I agree Quinn will be signing with the Minnesota Wild for 3 years / 18-20 AAV It just makes sense and then he will move on to join his brothers.
The Devils will NEVER trade Nico to Minny. He's the Captain and just signed an extension. Why would you trade one of your best players when he can walk in for free July 1? The Devs have some other good pieces that will fit well with the Wild.
