I don't see the point of bringing in Hagens to play 3LW and not even being a regular as Evan mentions. Have him play in providence as 1C to grow into the role he was drafted to play.
Youth Philosophy 😂😂😂😂
Don Sweeney drafted 43 players from 2018-2025 and in 2025-26 the only ONE to play more than 3 NHL games for Boston was Mason fn Lohrei😂😂😂
Who is a 25 year old, defensively challenged guy who is no longer a prospect anymore
What under 25 player (s) that Don Sweeney drafted other than James Hagans will play more than even 30 NHL games in 2026-27?
Minten & Khusy spent years developing in other organizations & were ready for full time NHL minutes the day both got to Boston
Dipietro is no spring chicken at 27, he wasn't a a Don Sweeney draft pick & there's no guarantee he even makes the team or if he does, that he doesn't flame out quickly
There's nothing in PVD at forward besides Poitras, who'll likely be traded and at defense it's nothing but Brunet who himself, is a limited 5th round pick who might not play much at all in 2026-27
Dans Locmelis lacks NHL size, speed and goal scoring acumen & Riley Duran probably isn't even a NHL player
Those are their two best forwards in PVD besides Poitras
Their two best defenders in PVD besides Brunet are Elliot Groenwold and Loke Johansson
Groenwold is not ready for the NHL & Johansson may not even be a real NHLer either
So what "youth" are we even talking about here for 2026-27?
It's so hilarious that all these in the Bruins pocket media guys keep hyping this so called Bruins youth movement that doesn't even exist except at the smallest level and where it does (Minten / Khusy) those players, shocker, weren't Don Sweeney draft picks & neither were develpped in their system
Here are the only four young meaningful players that'll potentially have an impact in Boston ovdr the next three seasons that were actually drafted by Don Sweeney and will have to be developed in Boston's system
Hagans, Leterneau, & Brunet
I'll add Zellers with the caveat he was not a Don Sweeney draft pick, he was traded for
There's Don Sweeney's youth movement
One is a 5th rounder who might not see much ice time this year and 2 of the other 4 have no chance at full time NHL minutes until at least the 2027-28 season unkess they get a handful of meaningless regular season games to close out the regular season
So based on reality…
I don't think Marco Sturm or Boston have much to evaluate in terms of this so called 2026-27 youth movement because it doesn't even exist 😂😂😂😂😂
I thought you guys were going to have a new person on with you this season, but clearly they have to earn it first. You can't possibly let them on here without checking all the boxes first.
I wonder if Sturm is more concerned with playing time, not linemates concerning Hagens. He's not going to be playing 24 minutes a night in his rookie year, so he'll have to "earn more ice time" as he shows he can handle the workload. Sturm doesn't want the kid burnt out by January.
Win now mode? Hope so, don’t want lose now mode
