C'mon guys. Gudreau never happened accept for a rumor run wild. Even Gudreau said he never spoke to the Islanders. No need to keep that speculation alive.
New York is no longer a destination. Tourism has been declining for years now, over the last five years more than a million people have left NY for good. Outrageous cost of living, rising crime rates and a grossly inept government with absolutely no answers are all contributing factors. Try selling all of that to a young, wealthy, professional athlete….Good Luck!

If you think this team has a shot at the playoffs this season you are setting yourself up for disappointment. All the teams in the Metro Division have improved themselves vastly more than the Isles did. That's my take on it. I am sure many will disagree but we shall see. No free agent wants to come here because there is no clear path to improving.
Sorokin and Schaefer could change that mentality of UFA’s but do you really want to spend 22 million for a bonafide top UFA forward? We must remain patient! We must build via the draft and add prospects. Regardless of position at the trade deadline all UFA players plus non core players must be traded! Darche must keep building from the ground up.
