None of those young players HAVE to make the NHL roster, including Lekkerimaki. You can easily sign one of those veterans a trade chips. If Bunting can get himself close to his averages, they should be able to pick up a draft pick or two around the deadline. Lekkerimaki doesn't need to prove he can score yet. He needs to prove he can stay healthy. Starting him in Abby doesn't distract from that goal.
You can just "trade" Pettersen. Have you guys seen the housing market right now? Thousands of people have their homes listed and can't sell. Why? There's no buyers interested.
I very easily see a situation where none of the other 31 teams are interested in Pettersen. And without a trade partner you can't trade no matter how hard you try.

Matt is totally right. Also I'm glad that Blake agrees. Because acquiring draft picks should be the primary goal. I'm thinking Nucks Mgmt is probably holding out for a 1st for De Brusk. I'm thinking that perhaps a 2nd and 3 rd will get this done. What does everyone else think?
