  1. this team needs muscle, been needing muscle for a long time, build a team that looks like the filly flyers in 77. fly the old hockey stick jersey. people would watch this team.

  2. If they don't get rid of EP40, nothing will change. They need a clean slate. Edmonton got rid of their useless pilon, and we should see improvement. Canucks need to do the same, It takes a GM with determination to make change. Talk is cheap, action counts.

  3. Most important is not getting ahead of themselves. ie: don't spend assets on a Shane Wright.

Accept the suck. Take on bad short term contracts for assets. Stockpile picks, put high upside draftees in proper positions to develop, bring up prospects for a taste without breaking them, insulate young core with veterans.

In a year or two, make those moves, the captain will have become clear. Some prospects will become trade fodder.

It's a process. Culling, development, cap management.

  4. We need to stop with the noise about trading EP40 and get behind the resurgence of his career as a more complete 2 way player as his contract becomes more and more reasonable with CAP inflation around the league. Plenty of paths for him to regain form and be a key component of this rebuild
