  1. Barring trades in the forward group, Martin will probably start the season in Milwaukee in the AHL. Roster as it stands is crowded and he will be better off playing 15+ minutes per night there as a center plus PP and PK time rather than 8 minutes per game on the wing in Nashville.

  2. We found out that great coaches don't make great GMs. We don't talk enough about Barry Trotz being so out of his depth there. However, MacFarland already seems to have this team going in the the right direction.

  3. McFarland is such a good GM. He can definitely get this team back in the playoffs with the right moves. Colton good pickup for bottom 6. Bouque and wood are going to be superstar players for them. Edstrom could be a nice add as well. He’s huge.

  4. I appreciate the optimism with Brady Martin, but honestly he had a terrible season in juniors last year relative to his draft year and his stock has fallen off a cliff. He'll probably top out as a 3rd line center at best unless he has a huge bounce back, there's a chance he won't even make the NHL at all as a regular.

  5. Happy to see Annunen doing well. Was he the first Avalanche to begin the takeover of Nashville? :-). But seriously, loved seeing him in the minors and then moving up.

  6. Preds have made some moves at all levels this off-season. They could move up and claim a playoff spot this coming season. Some solid players, no real outrageous contracts, some cap space to still make moves, no unsigned players above or below, and this all bodes well. This is the point at which Saros needs to elevate his game and he's shown signs of this being in his DNA. If Annunen hits his next level, and he could, at the same time, he might not only secure becoming the next number one but make his next contract talks next year or in a couple years go very well for him. Both netminders have a chance right now to give this team a fighting chance for several years of playoffs with not too much needing to be added but room to do so.
