  4. I remember this. Always find it funny how they told us "get the jab so you don't get covid symptoms! Or long covid! Well, sure, you will still get covid, and maybe long covid, and you can still spread covid, but just get the jab!!!"

    And ironically, the people who all experienced long covid, were mostly the most vaccinated people – white liberal women. It's a shame what happened to Toews though, he doesn't seem like that type at all. Sounds more likely he had some bad reaction to the "100% 99% 98% 95% 90% 80% I mean 50% safe and effective jab".

I had his college jersey and NHL jersey….i say had because I moved 3 months ago and the first thing I packed were the jerseys I had hanging up on my man cave and some how in the stress of moving that box never made it….I was actually hurt over it…I live check to check so I don’t get jerseys often but I had 12 of them. I only get athletes I feel I understand and they are daily reminders of what God can do. I’m in a bit of debt with the move and now my son needs back to school stuff and it’s the wifeys bday next month so hopefully after Christmas I can start my collection again

I can't help but see a parallel between what Jonathan Toews went through in his battle with CIRS and the players who experience post concussion syndrome, especially with the unpredictability day-to-day. THere are many players who deal with something Toews did, and don't get the chance to walk away on their own terms, but it's always wonderful to see a story have a happy ending such as this one.

  10. There are millions of people in the world who have long-term COVID. The early strain was more virulent and killed many who never knew they were compromised by an underlying illness. What it did to the heart and lungs was built in a lab to do just what it did. It is the biggest crime in the history of mankind.

  13. I have a friend who has long COVID and it's Hell on earth. She was a professor and now, she can barely read and write. I can't imagine how one could remain an elite athlete with such condition.

  17. virtually all "unkown" illnesses now are a direct result of the covid shots… I bet John took more than one shot, because if you did take more than one shot, your health is in danger…

  19. Autoimmune diseases are nothing to take lightly. And when someone has one Autoimmune disease, generally they have more than one Autoimmune disease. Genetics is the factor. I'm HLA-b27 positive, which is a gene that causes over 30 different Autoimmune diseases. I literally have 11 or 12 Autoimmune diseases (I stopped counting at 9). CIRS has always been in JT's body. It just took Covid for his CIRS to present itself

  24. Most large corporations provide employee health insurance with group policies, and provide them as a “Employee Benefit “.
    I urge any young person with responsibility and families to protect yourself and your family, purchase your own personal insurance policy, take care of your health and protect your family.
    Group insurance will protect you from a broken leg, or similar. It will not protect you from a debilitating injury or illness, and the courts provide little recourse.
    Toews contracted an illness that was very troublesome, he had lawyers and wealth to protect himself and his business. Many people don’t have that protection and will get crushed by the system and many fairly common illnesses or injury.
