When McDavid reached FA last year the Flyers were not ready yet for them to be attractive enough but when he just re-upped for only 2 years, then I knew we still had.a chance again in 2-3 years… We do not know where #97 will go, but we do know with 1000% certainty he IS going!!! And by next summer, the Flyers will actually be only one of a handful of teams that have a legit shot due to their talented young roster, draft capital & cap maneuverability… That is all we could ask for at this point!!!

in tocchet's rookie year, the flyers lost in the stanley cup final to the oilers, headed by superstar wayne gretzky. if he won his first stanley cup coaching the flyers with connor mcdavid, former oilers superstar, at the head… poetic. I think that if a) mcdavid truly wants the best shot at winning, and b) edmonton absolutely burns every bridge with him, he could walk himself to free agency, so the team he goes to doesn't have to gut itself trading for him. and it would also be the most savage move in nhl history.

If the Flyers keep 2 of 3 players in Michkov, Martone and Foerster and gain McDavid in a trade, that’s a huge win. If Michkov or Martone reach their peak and play with McDavid, that’s incredible. The reason why I bring up Foerster is, I’m a believer in him being the next Mark Stone. His game on the wing is that balanced.
