DK’s Daily Shot of Penguins: Upgrade in goal?

1. Silovs is very capable of being a starter, He showed in this year in the playoffs, and in the regular season when Jarry was injured. He can most certainly be a decent starter when it comes to needing to help win games, He improves into being able to allow only 1-2 goals a game instead of other goalies like skinner who allows 3-4. Murashov is a very good prospect in which I think is the only good things Hextall is done here in Pittsburgh, also includes the Rakell trade. I’ve went to Murashov’s first nhl game this year, and I tell you he’s something, was a joy to watch, has the reflexes to make big saves, and is also capable of being athletic in goal. Hope goaltending will be solved soon,

2. hey D.K. are you ready to watch silovs blow the extra point in the shootouts again ?? if the pens had those points they would have cruised to the playoffs ! I sure hope musharov is at least competent in shootouts . the pens will miss mantha who they should have signed for a relatively fair contract that he got from the devils . avery hayes should be on the pens , he has serious upside ! gutting the defense from last season will doom the pens , that was lunacy ! any pens fan or pundit who thinks dubas can do no wrong will find out that is not even remotely true !

3. The math isn't mathing. Fewer shots allowed doesn't help save %.

4. You can’t have any consistency or any streak when you’re swapping goalies every game. I absolutely cannot stand goalie platoons.

6. Biggest hole/question mark on the roster and it's barely been talked about. A lot of pressure on Murashov this year. Wouldn't be surprised if Blomqvist gets some action too

7. I have seen Mitch Marner play the point 5 on 5 late in the third to try and tie the game.

10. I've seen too many long shots from the blue line get past by both younger goaltenders. No long shots allowed by Stu, if I recall. I mean like unscreened easy to see and stop. I have no faith in any of these goalies.

At no point in your rambling, incoherent statement were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this platform is now dumber for having listened to it. 12. Thank you DK. They still need a better defense to compliment the Goalie. The best way to compliment the offense is a great defense. All those wingers could mean future trade's or even players. Great show DK.

13. I've always considered hockey much more dynamic than football, baseball, or basketball. Offense and Defense is pretty much played at the same time. Guess we should be playing more Charlie Brown hockey.
    The soft goal is so disheartening. The goalie is set-up, knows it's coming, and the puck still finds a way to get past him. You cannot blame the defense on that one. The Fleury-esque diving save does not make a good goalie. The should-have-stopped-it goal makes you a not-so-good goalie.
    I don't think shoot-outs should be a pecking order. I think you use the newer guy who's not as tired and the goalie has no idea about his shot. They have just as much of a chance as the regular guys. Remember, half of the shoot-out is the goalie, the other half is the shooter.

14. Dubas made a reference to needing to be harder to play or score against, I don't remember the exact quote. This makes it all the more surprising that he hasn't upgraded the back end all summer.

15. well that does eliminate the need for a L handed D man? ha. Just have a center D man….if they cant find a good L handed D man, you might as well try it otherwise it will likely just be more of the same next season

16. I used to think that hockey being a team sport, that the Defense was a big problem for the Pens giving up so many goals….but..with the shootout stats you revealed DK, maybe our goalies suck
