Scotty Laughts is a gem for showing up for JT.
John Tavares should've always stayed the captain, he's a natural leader on and off the ice and joined the Leafs after being the Islanders captain for 5 years. AM34 is a great player but the best choice for captain of a team is hardly ever the most skilled player. A true captain can keep a cool head, rally the troops, see the forest from the trees and elevate his teammates.
Over the last few seasons I've heard people doubt him but time and time again he shuts them up, always finding new ways to win with his massive hockey IQ. He's the greatest Leaf since Sundin and I hope we can get him his cup before he retires.

Tavares is an amazing human being. I hope he gets a cup (even if he has to leave the leafs) before he eventually retires. He deserves it.
Keep it going J.T… you're a great role model to every kid out there especially the Azorean Portuguese Canadian ones.. I just wish you were a little meaner out on the ice , you just need to bring to the surface more of that salty Azorean blood meu Amigo :))) .
