Vegas will be looking to make another Final appearance in 2027 and hoping for a different result than in 2026.

Don't think vegas will make the stanley cup final again, but I'll never underestimate their ability to go far in the playoffs in any given year again
Wouldn;'t it be useful to include additions and subtractions to these team analysis? I think Vegas will be this years Winnipeg Jets – major regresssion
Woulda picked this as my most hated if florida was wiped off the map.

Vegas has the potential to be awesome. Eichel more goals. Marner more goals. Olaffson? Not sold on him. Wild Bill healthy please please please. Such an impact on our team when playing. Stone oh my god maybe try 75 games this season !!! Missing koelasar alot. Go knights go.
I'm predicting the Golden Knights to make the playoffs again this season, but hopefully they don't.๐ค
I felt Vegas would go far in the playoffs this year mainly because of Torts.
Hate on haters, go Knights ๐ฅ๐
I want us to be #1 in most hated
Thanks for the thorough summation of the Golden Knights. It was far more fair than other opinions I've seen.
The problem with believe such an elite team basically since expansion is that there's nowhere to go but down. I don't think they'll be a bad team next year, but when you set the bar that high, fans only really know success, so they're not used to a rebuild or anything close to that. But eventually, they'll have to rebuild. They've managed to trade their way to staying top tier in all but I believe last year and one other season, but eventually, their luck is going to run out as their core gets older and they can't just trade out older guys and top picks for newer players. How good would Nick Suzuki look in Vegas right now? Those trades don't usually burn you right away, but eventually, they do. By giving yourself a chance to win in the moment, you make that eventual pain worse. They probably have a good enough roster that with a couple of moves, they could delay a necessary rebuild for a couple of years, but at some point, they will have to stop selling off picks and prospects.
Pretty sure Piiparinen signed a loan deal with Finnish team Tappara for the whole year.
Bettman's knights

I'm not sure a team needs to worry much about the regular season as long as they actually make the playoffs.
However, complacency is a problem (injuries too). All last year I thought Florida would recover and at least make the playoffs, but they never did. Dug the hole too deep, I guess. ๐ณ
Keeping games close is key in the NHL. OT Loss points are a real thing. Teams (and pundits) need to stop pretending a team is cheating by keeping games close and getting OT Loss points. Get the rules changed if you don't like it.
No goaltending and plenty of aging players, gonna be really glad when these pretentious goobers finally become irrelevant in maybe a couple of years. It's not that interesting to watch a team that was gifted a perfect roster by multiple short-sighted GMs and has been coasting off of those free gifts ever since. And I was someone who was a fan of that original 2018 cinderella run! Still more likeable than Tampa though lol
Marner was the difference maker
Now this is a team I truly hope fails in every way shape and form.
While I loathe the VGK, I do respect what they can do. They are always dangerous.
Eff Vegas
Tough to underestimate Vegas. The one year they missed the playoffs, they immediately followed it up with a Cup victory. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw another deep playoff run from them next season.
Just came here to say that I hope for the worst Vegas season in their history for the sake of the entire league.
I'm so excited to see how Marner blossoms this season. Looking forward to Hill between the pipes again, hope there are fewer injuries all round.
And just like every year and U hope they rot and I hope it hurts!!!
Dorofeyev is definitely a big loss. Only 25 as well
I think Vegas is extremely well-rounded overall.
Hart was mid against Utah and Carolina, but looked very good against Anaheim and Colorado. Hill was quite awful last year, and if he doesn't bounce back the goaltending might become an issue again.
Likeable/lovable and dislikeable/hateable vs most loved and most hated. Only can be one. I would assume people would only put their team as most lovable? Kind of feel most lovable would be who has the most fans as the team as number 1. Hateable for Vegas should be every fan that isn't a Vegas fan. But yeah nice to know FL might be the most hated overall team in the league. Thanks everyone. This is one of the teams I like, weird that I like Colorado and Vegas and they both beat my team in the cup. Then I can't stand Edmonton and they beat them twice. And I am a Torts fan because he lead Tampa to their first cup and that stays with me forever. However out of all their teams these last year and this year coming has the least amount of players that I really like/care about. Mark Stone will be 35 during free agency. Does he get a raise/long term contract or does he fall off?
1st round exit
Immediately looked at most hated and wasnโt disappointed
Pavel Dorofeyev was the only reason why they made the playoffs. They're gonna miss him, can't hide the atrocious goaltending.
hertl isnt a center anymore but hey what i know. 6.8m 3C is a waste of cap. they make playoffs their division is a pillow fight
And former head coach Bruce Cassidy is still restricted from taking a new job. They must have been pissed off at him
i say trade Holtz for Shane Wright
Vegas fsns know how much we're disliked and kinda like it. It only means we are better than your team lol
This season is going to be like the 2024, still good but the lose in the first round and then say bye bye to their veterans and use their first rounds picks to replace them.
Would love to see what you think about the caps!
VGK vs FLA part 2 in 2027 SCF
Like the rest of the Pacific Division that dealt with the exponential effects of the worst travel schedules in an attrition based Olympic schedule, Vegas will have more points in the standings. Vegas is one of the teams in the league who take it personally that they even have to play the regular season, so I still don't expect them to win a President's Trophy. One of the reasons Vegas is so successful, besides hoarding all the stars, is when you try to set up in their zone you get hit faster than crossing the blueline of another team. That lower 'time in the pocket' makes it harder to make plays. Despite being less than gentle on opponents they have what can almost be regarded as a 'miraculously' low number of penalties, to the point where you want to have a closer look at the luxury suite that is their referee dressing room.
Once again good depth, built for the playoffs, losing pavel will hurt tho.
