You can never know for certain about a young man when you draft him. Will he get better or has he peaked. Is he coachable or is he immature. Are his stats a true reflection of his skills and can they be improved on. How might all these things help to fit him into your roster? How often have you seen a player given up on, traded away, and in a year or two hoisting the trophy you wanted but are sitting at home watching television. And if that player is not North American can he adjust to a foreign life-style in time to be useful for your club. Man, those NHL scouts earn their pay! And all I have said applies to every team sport. And don’t get me started on team nanagement who have managed to ruin more than one man’s career. See ya in the stands?
