I was sure Gold was going to be hired by Detroit to replace Yzerman. The fact that the Islanders hired him as an AGM is awesome. He will be a great addition.
Just another example of how great Darche has been for the Isles. There are plenty of examples in hockey and in other sports of how it doesn't matter how many high draft picks/prospects a team gets, they don't have the organizational skill sets to develop them. The Isles now do
