Does Pierre want to elaborate on how Buffalo got better? In Zellweger, out Tuch and Byram? Maybe I'm missing something but on paper their roster is not better.
I don't know if I agree with Pierre about Buffalo. Losing Tuch and Byram those are two big players that I think can change the identity of the team. I guess we'll see lol
Florida improved. Toronto did a lot of something, not sure it's an improvement. Boston stayed pretty much the same, there's a reason Peterka keeps getting shipped. Montreal has done nothing and overachieved last season. Buffalo got worse in the off season. Detroit is a tire fire. Tampa is another year older.
So if Florida is 'a lock' to make the playoffs out of the Atlantic teams that didn't last year, I like Ottawa's chances to stay in over Boston's.

Pierre tells the hard truth. Sadly, I agree, I don’t think Ottawa will be a playoff team best year. We will likely be a bottom 4 team to come.
Yes, maybe we lose a distraction, but losing a point per game player and everyone getting better to.
We will could finish last in the east as Philly is getting better to.
For Ottawa it all comes down to the goaltending. That was essentially the only problem last season beyond tons of injuries, especially at the end of the year. They played better without Baby Tkachuk when he was saving himself for the Olympics and they were a top 5 team in overall advanced analytics. If they can get solid goaltending, then they make the playoffs, it is that simple. I actually really like the makeup of this Sens team. If the captain wanted to abandon ship in a selfish, pathetic move, all good. Contrary to popular belief, we have a bunch of really good players who want to play here. Ottawa's a great hockey city. I bet more people play hockey per capita in Ottawa than any other city in Canada, very knowledgeable fanbase. Cheers
