  1. Celebrini isn't just a no, he's a hell no. Not from the Canucks perspective. Who wouldn't want that guy as your top line centre? But given where San Jose is, they're likely to be the next big powerhouse team and since American teams are allowed to actually win something, it's 99.9% likely that he stays there unless they have a falling out. Bedard is a bit trickier because Chicago could also become a contender, but it's less likely at this point. He's a guy that might come to Vancouver, but again, these guys in the end want to win and if you're an elite player, why would you play in a country that hasn't won a Cup in over 30 years? If he comes here at all, it may be a Gallagher type situation when he's well past his prime and wants to finish his career in Vancouver. Nobody of their calibre is going to play in their hometown over getting a chance to actually win something.

  2. The Canucks never managed to "bring home" Joe Sakic, Steve Yzerman, or Paul Kariya, so I am not holding out much hope. This club in its entire history has seemed allergic to the BC-grown superstars that have existed. They have missed out on so many, it's conspicuous and appalling.

  3. Nucks won't get Celebrini but I think they'll get Bedard. There's a reason why Bedard only signed for 5 years. Bedard will sign with the Canucks once they start entering their peak. Bedard-Malhottra-Cootes down the middle will be a beast.
