Sorry Torts was a great change late in the season brought the best out of Vegas . But a making a judgement call on a questionable goal in game 3 was devastating losing the challenge on the goal ? Why gamble with 2 min . left in a critical game tied score tied 2 – 2 ? ? Stone scores 1 min . later Vegas on their way home up 3 games to 1 would have wrapped up this series and the cup ? Torts has no temperment to go the distance with his temperment . 😮😮😮😮😮

Of course Torts would want one more season, what coach wouldn’t after the Cup Final? As a short term coach like last season Torts is ok, but a year or year plus is really taking a chance. I’m thinking though Torts knew what was gonna happen.

I doubt Torts was brought in as anything more than a late season rescue. He was a known X factor and hard to imagine anything but an awkward liaison would have transpired in a full season. Likely the management intention here was to promote Ryan Craig and shape things as an in house construct.
Honestly I like the move of Ryan Clark being named head coach. He knows this organization in and out, he's been here since the very beginning, and it seems McCrimmon and him have the relationship that seems to work (even if Clark is a yes man). This team demands excellence and I don't see why people have a problem with that. McCrimmon has proved it as a GM every year besides one
