I’ll trade Hage for Marchenko any day, it’s a no-brainer! Marchenko is already a star player in NHL with 70-80 points stable output / season, while Hage is still just a prospect . On top of Hage , maybe Dach or Newhook and a Reinbacher (who is not NHL-ready anyway)
Columbus is already up against the wall with cap space , plus they must sign Fantilli ($9-10 mln) THIS SUMMER – thus they will have zero space to extend Marchenko next summer when he is set to become an RFA and will ask for $10 at least
Pugachyov is a strong lad. Might be able to handle Wilson and Olivier.🥇💯👍
Columbus is a real hole, perennial losers, why would anyone want to play there.. Waddell failed as GM, he could not manage to build a real contender all these years. If he had half a brain, he would trade Werenski and Marchenko now, and maximise the return on them to start a real rebuild , around Fantilli and Sellinger

I don't want Marchenko, clearly Columbus does not want to give him up. He will cost too much. There will be many more opportunities, Montreal is a contender, players will want to play for us, we don't need to rush and sell our prospects.

Look I’d trade any mix of ghule,kapanen,Bolduc,Xhekaj or evans with some pick and prospects to get marchenko. Habs have what cbj want in all 3 categories. Only question is does he want to come here ?
