I would sign him for $ 1.0 min and incentives based on goals. Can't see where he would fit in the lineup other than on the powerplay.
With what room? We have so many forwards it’s looking like Eklund is not coming up this season. The real question should be Is there any way we can trade some of this dead weight?! This is what we should do before trying to add a one dimensional player

Go get yourself another long term contract somewhere else Laine by potting 30+ and staying healthy on a (bet on myself) contract for the Island this season and whoever they trade you to at deadline.
I’d rather we left space for Eklund or another younger player to break into the lineup. Laine just seems like another Duclair/Engvall/Palat.
