6. Take a class in economics. There is no such thing as "price gouging". Sportsnet is part of a publicly traded company whose duty to the shareholders is to increase profit every year. They are not twisting consumers' arms. If you don't like the price, then don't buy the product. In 2025, the company increased prices and RATINGS WENT UP. So people did buy the product. Why? Because they know people are sports junkies and have to get their fix just like the relationship between the corner drug dealer and the heroin addict.

    I have an in for a SN+ login, and IDK if that person will cancel with this price hike. Knowing them, and the fact that there is a Jays fan in that household, at least they get use out of the subscription all year round. Though honestly, there was no hockey watched last season other than when I watched it, because the Leafs management was a real bone of contention for them, and last season was the first season ever there was no hockey watched in that household. But, this season is a new season, with new management, and some more excitement around the team, so I am assuming the hockey watching will be resumed.

    If I didn't have this in though, or if it gets cancelled, yeah, I'll just go back to sailing the 7 seas. I do not have cable to start with, so no random games on TV for me. Though I do have Prime, so I can watch whichever games will be shown. I guess lucky I'm an Oilers and Leafs fan, so I will have a few more games I want to watch via Prime compared to someone only interested in 1 team.

    As for the Crave games, unless the seas provide, I won't be able to watch any of those either.

25. See if getting a V See box may help. Runs through the internet, so if you have an internet connection, which I'm going to assume you do, The V See box in a little device that, for a one-time fee of around $350, you can basically get any channel you want for the rest of your days. I have one and it is great. You can watch pretty much any sporting event, any movie, any tv show current or past. The only drawback that I see, is, it only covers one tv. So, if you are trying to watch three different games at once on three TV's you would need to have a separate box for each TV. So, NHL Center Ice may be your best option, especially if you can watch different games on different devices at once. But if you only watch one game at a time on a single TV, the V See box, in my opinion is the way to go. Cut my cable bill off over a year ago and quite like that I don't have that monthly bill every month. Especially with yearly price hikes.

31. I thought over here in the UK that (proper) Football subscriptions were expensive to watch but Boy you Canadian's are getting royally shafted for watching sports! To think that all you games are hyper-extended due to commercial breaks plus the number of adverts shown via technology on the half-boards & on the ice etc Also the NHL partnerships with gambling sites yet your Tv & even going to the games live are so expensive!! People here in The UK & Europe lost their 💩over the extended half-time show for the World Cup final & that was for 30 minutes once + The USA was late kicking off by 6 mins, a thing which never happens at footy matches let alone the World Cup final. It sounds like your being held captive but the ransom demand continues to rise? 🏴‍☠🏴‍☠🏴‍☠ Good luck me hearties!!

I used to work for a cable company in rentention, people would cancel their TV subscriptions and I understood because things with the packages had gotten out of hand, but everyone would just say "streaming is better" but here we are in the exact same position 10 years later, instead of "packages" it's another streaming service

    I am beyond disappointed with closing of 650 and wouldn’t support any money going to them.
    It makes me sick I really feel entirely cut off from the sport . I don’t care enough to watch , but I am always busy and need of something to listen to .. I enjoyed Corey hirsh I was annoyed after he didn’t get renewed, but the complete lack of respect for any consumer protection is insane
