  1. Literally the Sharks were 14pts above the Hawks (who were without their top 2 guys for a month)… they are marginally better at this point, they just play in the pillow-fight division

  2. 7:48 This is why I’ve been saying Elias Pettersson to Chicago actually makes a ton of sense.

Especially with Bedard going down, they need to bring in someone now, and Pettersson could be an elite 2C behind Bedard. Despite his struggles he’s still excellent defensively, can play PK, PP, etc.

Chicago cares so little about picks they traded the 4th overall. And if they have no problem paying Byram 12.5, they shouldn’t have a problem with Pettersson at 11.6. (They would still have like 9 million in cap with Ryan Ellis on LTIR.)

Realistically, I think Vancouver would do it for like Oliver Moore, one of Edmonton or Floridas firsts, and their 2nd round pick back.

That’s nothing for them. They’ll barely miss those pieces and have plenty more to add in the future if they want

  3. Ah the glorious Sharks.
Had Celebrini and Smith both been injured last season then they would have earned that #2 draft pick.
Had Bedard and Nazar not both been out, perhaps we would have got it 😊

  4. Bedards constant injuries are starting to be a concern….I still think he's a world class talent but if your on the bench injured your talent means nothing.

  5. They lost their top 2 centers in December last year. Bedard and Nazar were provided all the offense. Obviously that isn’t ideal but they were in the wild card “hunt” before they got hurt.

  6. There’s also an element of Kyle Davidson being uniquely untouched by any criticism whatsoever in town simply because he’s not Stan Bowman. What is it they say about “not wanting to replace the legend (Dale Tallon), but wanting to replace the guy who replaced the legend”…?

  7. "..and Frondell, who they REFUSE to give up on, they WILL NOT trade…" That's a weird way to describe that situation….our #2 overall pick from last year who came in after his SHL season and put up 9 points in 12 games, showing his physical presence not allowing the puck to get taken off his stick, winning board battles, back checking and showing he is a solid 2-way forward… He's a stud, moving off of him shouldn't be considered and wasn't considered. Was Dude talking about Levshunov, maybe? Cause that would make more sense with the tone that comment was made.

  8. Stop compartmentlizing people careers. Also blame the NHLPA for inflated contracts. Letting players get to UFA faster changed everything. Now players are payed for potential no what they did.

  9. Kirill Kaprizov had 89 points in 78 games last year

Bedard had an 85 point 78 game pace…and thats him not playing at 100% post-injury….

    Kaprizov makes $17 mil AAV
