    There isn’t an internal salary cap, they can’t afford to pay him that % this year.

    The cap is going up.
    Seguin coming off the books.
    Obviously likes to be in Dallas …
    And this deal buys both sides time.

  2. Dallas flat out doesn't want to pay Robertson more than Mikko, even rumored $500k diff. Jason will get his pick of $14-15M contracts next year. He will also likely to be traded midseason to which ever contender to recoup assets for Stars.

  3. Jason Robertson is playing the systems d so are the Stars. This what the NHL has become. Daily headlines are all about overpaid millionaire’s and not the game itself. Every fan is sick of hearing about this garage!

  4. Very risky he better hope he doesn’t blow out his knee or get a severe concussion. I wouldn’t risk the opportunity to secure generational wealth like that personally.
