GM CANDIDATES: Can the Red Wings poach a GM like Jim Nill? Consider new blood like Darren Yorke?

1. Whoever is selected needs to have the credentials to assuage the fears of and instill the necessary confidence for both the fans and Dylan.

3. Just a thought. What if Yzerman and Chris I. moved Yzerman out 2 make Larkin think he "won". And then moves him back into the GM job after Larkin gets moved.

7. You realize that draper would ask yzerman for permission to do anything? Also, Lidstrom would be crazy to move out of Sweden. Toronto have hired Sundin into a lesser role, and the arrangement is that Sundin splits time between Canada and Sweden. You cannot do that with a GM.

12. Don’t be surprised if Marc Bergevin is considered for Dir of Hockey Ops and Marty Lapointe for GM. Lapointe is very much responsible for what’s happening in Montreal, and Bergevin is who originally hired him in Chicago and then brought him to Montreal. Both former Detroit players but are NOT part of either Holland or Yzerman’s tree. Another GM candidate should be Martin Madden, an Anaheim AGM. He’s the best talent evaluator in the sport. He’s why they drafted Sennecke where they did, and why they took Carlson over Fantilli.

13. Ryan Martin is the good old boy of the good old boys network. He’s literally done nothing but hold sports over the years. It would be the worst hire.

14. Anyone but Draper or horcoff and lidstrom doesn't have any experience in gm and I doubt he would leave Sweden
