The Cheat Codes Saving The Oilers From Cap Hell.

Both Matt Savoie and Ike Howard impressed in their seasons last year and for different reasons.

In this video, I’m projecting exactly where they fit in the lineup, what their ceiling is and what a realistic season could be for both players in the upcoming season.

What are your thoughts guys? Am I way to bullish on these two young studs? Drop a comment down below as I read and interact with every single one!

  1. I have been saying 60-80 points for Savvy this year, I'm with you bro!

Was also with you on Holloway, i predicted 50-60 points for Dylan before the offer sheet, and he got 63 with the Blues.

Some kids, you can just see the raw talent and all the little things that they do to elevate their game!

  2. Lock him up. The whole reason Nurse ended up being so overpaid is because the front office kept bridging him. When you have a talented young player it pays off in the end to invest in their future.

  3. At the very least these two will be solid trade chips going forward.

I think Savoie is smarter but Howard is more athletic and a better shot.

If Howard doesnt have the IQ to play in the top 6 it could become a real issue. I expect him to make the lineup and stay at least.

  4. I’m absolutely with you regarding Ike Howard. Tampa’s amateur scouting staff is of the best of the best. Considering he was originally drafted by Tampa (potentially as a Steven Stamkos replacement long term) showcases how incredible this guy would be at the NHL level when given the chance to succeed in a top six role.

If Babcock harasses him and/or tries pulling a Johan Fransen on him, we over in HockeyTown will gladly trade for him so he can play with his best buddy Trey Augustine.

  5. Don’t think Ike can crack the top 6 out of preseason. He would likely be put in a top 9 role and then brought back down to AHL. Should trade him for an established forward if that’s the case
