Yzerman 's free agent signings were mediocre. Landing a #1 pick would have helped a lot. As for Larkin he's a number 2 on a good team. Hope he sits in the press box for the remainder of his contract.

No offense because I know Larkin was a big part of their team but there was a lot more you could‘be went into on Detroits overall failure so far.
1 beef with a side of years of questionable at best GM moves. He is the Lark Knight. Yzerman unfortunately ended up being a roadblock for the team to progress and D Boss took care of him. Realistically I think they need to step back for a year, sell some assets, and come back in a year or two with a better built team. I don’t know how they were expecting to compete with the center depth they have
